Christine Trudeau is the President of the Indigenous Journalists Association, formerly named the Native American Journalists Association. She is a citizen of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. Trudeau is a skilled writer, editor, mentor, teacher, storyteller, and print and audio news reporter.
Recently, Trudeau was a visiting adjunct faculty member for the University of Montana School of Journalism, teaching classes in diversity in the media, beat reporting, and general news reporting, and co-taught the native news honors project.
In 2022, Trudeau received the Richard LaCourse Award for Investigative Journalism with Jourdan Bennett-Begaye and Sunnie Clahchischiligi for their story ‘A broken system: the number of Indigenous people who died from coronavirus may never be known’ with the Indigenous Investigative Collective.
