Chi-Chi Zhang

Chi-Chi Zhang is a product leader who has worked at the intersection of media and technology over the past 15+ years. Most recently, she was a Global Product Lead for News at Google, leading a team of product experts at the intersection of media and technology to apply the best of artificial intelligence to surface the world's best reporting. She currently serves as a guest lecturer at The Product School and is on the board of the Institute of Current World Affairs (ICWA) advocating for the recruitment of journalism fellows from diverse and underrepresented communities. Chi-Chi holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Journalism from the University of Utah.

Prior to Google, Chi-Chi was a Strategic Partnership Manager for edX.org, a Harvard-MIT-founded EdTech startup. As a passionate educator, Chi-Chi developed edX's go-to-market strategy in China and spearheaded partnerships with leading universities across China. As a journalist, Chi-Chi spent 7+ years as a producer for CNN, a reporter for the Associated Press, and a fellow for ICWA.org across four cities in China and Greater China. Chi-Chi is a frequent speaker on technology and media including events hosted by the Pulitzer Center, MIT, Asian American Journalists Association, Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. In 2017, Chi-Chi received the President's Volunteer Service for her teaching work with Citizen Schools in Boston.
