Graciela Mochkofsky is the dean at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism. She is a contributing writer for The New Yorker. She is the author of seven books of nonfiction and a recipient of the Maria Moors Cabot Prize for outstanding reporting across the Americas. Her latest book, “The Prophet of the Andes: An Unlikely Journey to the Promised Land,” was published in 2022.
