Kristen B. Reed is a journalist and director of content working with digital leaders at TEGNA stations. She specializes in creating strategies that engage and grow local news audiences. Kristen believes inclusive journalism and diversity are key to fostering thriving newsrooms and informed communities. She graduated from Brenau University with a bachelor’s in mass communication and an MBA. She also has a master’s in broadcast journalism from Columbia University.
Previously, Kristen was the digital content director at WXIA in Atlanta - among other roles, an associate digital video producer for the USA TODAY Network and a reporter for The Clarion-Ledger. She is currently serving a term on the ONA Board of Directors.
