Micheala Sosby specializes in the financial sustainability of storytelling for the public good. Micheala is an operations manager for NASA's Office of Communications where she champions several financial sustainability and organizational development initiatives. She's also a volunteer small business advisor and a finance instructor, teaching with the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism's J+ programs. Earlier in her career, Micheala worked with national and local news organizations — the USA TODAY NETWORK, the Columbia Missourian, and Newsy (now Scripps News) — to develop audience-focused approaches to reporting and business development. As a part of the Reynolds Journalism Institute's Trusting News project, Micheala coached media organizations as they tested audience engagement strategies. She also conducted due diligence on Midwest media startups and made investment recommendations through the Missouri Innovation Center. Micheala holds a Bachelor of Journalism and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri.
