Rebecca Petras is the Director of Operations of The Signals Network, is a non-profit veteran with a passion for journalism. At The Signals Network, she combines her past in journalism and writing with expertise in building self-sustaining non-profits. Prior to TSN, she ran an international humanitarian fund in Geneva, Switzerland, and previously was a founding board member and executive of the international NGO Translators without Borders. She holds a master's in journalism from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. Recent publications include The Power - and Peril - of Language (Devex), Catalyzing Change on International Women’s Day (H2H Network), The Signals Network blog posts on whistleblowing, and Baltimore: A perfect blend of European reverence and American Optimism.
