Zeynep Günbay is the Lead Product Designer at The Philadelphia Inquirer, focusing on inclusivity and accessibility. Some of her recent projects at The Inquirer include creating an easy-to-navigate service article template that serves a civic purpose without a paywall or subscription, designing an accessible online subscription and cancellation journey, and developing a day pass. This pass allows app readers who want to access articles behind a metered wall to gain daily access for $0.99, instead of committing to an ongoing subscription. Zeynep strives to make journalism accessible to everyone while contributing to a sustainable business model. When she’s not working, she enjoys teaching her cat new tricks, taking long walks in nature, and learning Spanish.
